If you need to report an absence or have questions regarding attendance, please contact the School Clerk, Ms. Castaneda at [email protected].

REPORTING AN ABSENCE ONLINE:

Excused Absences

• Illness (Absences due to illness for three or more consecutive days require a note from your doctor to be excused.)

• Medical or dental appointments

• Death in the family

• Court appointments

• Extreme family emergency. Please be specific.

Unexcused Absences

• Transportation issues

• Oversleeping

• Family activities out of town (vacations or trips)

• Personal matters

ATTENDANCE AWARDS:

Wegeforth Elemenary School awards students for perfect or outstanding attendance 3 times a year.

Perfect Attendance

Perfect attendance means that your child must be at school every minute of every school day without exceptions (no illnesses, doctors' appointments, no tardies nor Independent Study Contracts and no early outs. etc.). Please call the school office if you need clarification.

Outstanding Attendance

Outstanding attendance awards go to students with less than 3 attendance marks for the attendance reporting period, these could be illnesses, doctors' appointments, tardies, Independent Study Contracts (3 days only) and early outs. etc.) Please call the school office if you need clarification.
